Objectives

What we do within ESiWACE and why: With maximum resolution towards realistic simulations of planet Earth to improve our understanding of weather risks in a changing climate.

Past Phases (ESiWACE & ESiWACE2)

The Centre of Excellence (CoE) ESiWACE has been funded since 2015 via three subsequent projects. ESiWACE run from 2015-2019 and ESiWACE2 from 2019-2023.

New Generation of Weather and Climate Models

Numerical models of the Earth System represent the most important tool to anticipate and assess the main threats for the society of the 21st century, extreme weather events and climate change.

European HPC Landscape

Bringing weather and climate simulations to next generation supercomputers.
