Training Events

We offer hands-on training for weather and climate modellers, focusing on HPC tools developed in ESiWACE3. Sessions range from summer schools to hackathons and online courses, tailored to diverse experience levels and community needs.

What we offer?

Our programme includes expert-led training on scalable modelling tools, access to cutting-edge HPC resources, and networking opportunities through events, all designed to boost skills and foster collaboration in Earth System modelling.

How Do you apply?

Application is simple: check our website for upcoming training events, eligibility details, and deadlines. Apply online by filling out a short form. Some events may have limited spots or selection criteria, so early application is encouraged.

    ESIWACE2

Our training programs cover key HPC areas within ESIWACE3’s pre-exascale expertise, including:

    • I/O (Input/Output)
    • Computation (DSLS, C++, and coupling software)
    • Data analytics
    • Containerization

These trainings help more scientists and engineers develop advanced skills in optimizing climate and weather applications on tier-0 machines, increasing HPC awareness in the community.

    Open Educational Resources (OER)

All trainings include online digital materials available as Open Educational Resources (OER) under a permissive CC-BY license. These materials can be freely used by teachers and researchers outside the consortium. Access them via the ESIWACE training pages linked below.
